About the role
The Video Editor is responsible for producing high-quality, platform-optimised video content that supports marketing campaigns, brand storytelling, educational materials, and social media growth for the organisation. This role covers the full post-production workflow: from raw footage review and assembly editing, through colour grading, sound mixing, motion graphics, and final export. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, creatively meticulous, and comfortable delivering multiple video formats simultaneously in a fast-paced content environment.
What you'll do
Post-Production & Editing
Edit raw footage into polished short-form and long-form video content for social media (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, YouTube), promotional videos, and educational platforms.
Perform colour grading and colour correction to ensure visual consistency and brand alignment.
Mix and balance audio: dialogue, background music, sound effects, and voiceovers.
Add captions, subtitles, and lower-third text overlays.
Motion Graphics & Visual Effects
Create and integrate motion graphics, animated titles, transitions, and visual effects aligned with brand identity.
Collaborate with the Graphic Designer on animated assets and branded templates.
Format & Platform Optimisation
Export and optimize videos for each platform's specifications: aspect ratio, file size, bitrate, codec (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, website, and other platforms).
Maintain an organised library of project files, raw assets, and exported deliverables.
Creative Collaboration
Work closely with the marketing team to understand the creative brief and visual objectives for each video.
Provide creative input during pre-production (storyboarding, shot list, visual style) when needed.
Quality Control & Archiving
Review all video outputs before publishing to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
Maintain a structured archive of project source files for future repurposing and iteration.
What we're looking for
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film/TV Production, Broadcasting, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or a related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of professional video editing experience (portfolio or showreel required).
Proficiency in video editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut.
Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and visual effects.
Familiarity with Adobe Audition or equivalent for audio editing and mixing.
Solid understanding of colour theory, composition, pacing, and visual storytelling.
Experience producing content specifically for social media platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
Experience in the education, EdTech, or creative industry is preferred.
Drone footage editing or basic videography skills are an advantage.
What You Will Bring
Highly organised with meticulous file management habits to maintain structured archives across multiple projects.
Ability to manage multiple editing projects simultaneously and deliver within tight turnaround times.
Creative and detail-oriented with a strong eye for pacing, visual flow, and storytelling through video.
Collaborative and receptive to feedback from the marketing team while maintaining creative standards.
Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced content environment with shifting priorities.
