About the role
The Product Designer at Vortex will play a key role in designing user-centered digital experiences that drive both business growth and customer satisfaction. This role requires a creative thinker with strong UI/UX fundamentals, capable of transforming product visions into intuitive and delightful interfaces. The ideal candidate should be highly collaborative, data-informed, and familiar with agile development cycles. Preference will be given to those with experience in the Education and Technology industries.
What you'll do
Design and prototype intuitive user interfaces across web and mobile products
Translate user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints into thoughtful design solutions
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to shape product direction
Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity visuals in Figma or similar tools
Maintain and evolve the company’s design system for consistency and scalability
Iterate based on feedback, data insights, and usability testing outcomes
Participate in design critiques and cross-functional discussions to ensure high-quality design delivery
Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and best practices
What we're looking for
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in product or UI/UX design
Industry Background: Proven experience in the Education and/or Technology sectors is preferred
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Figma (or Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
Familiar with prototyping tools (e.g., Framer, ProtoPie)
Understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus
Ability to build and manage design systems
Data-Driven Skills:
Ability to interpret user research and analytics to inform design
Experience conducting usability tests and iterative improvements
Portfolio: Demonstrated success in shipping product designs with measurable user or business impact
