About the role

The Technology Lead will play a crucial role in our progressive technology company's transition from startup to scale-up phase. This position involves leading technical initiatives, mentoring team members, and driving innovation in our educational technology solutions including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Assessment platforms, and ERP systems (ODOO-based). The role requires both strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to guide our engineering team toward excellence

About the role

What you'll do

Lead technical projects end-to-end, from system architecture and development to deployment and optimization.
Build and guide a capable, collaborative engineering team with a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Partner with Product Design and Product Growth teams to ensure technical decisions align with business goals.
Encourage healthy technical discussions and help the team make informed decisions.
Improve code quality, technical documentation, and delivery efficiency across projects.
Support engineers through mentoring, code reviews, and ongoing skill development.
Identify and address technical risks early to maintain smooth project delivery.
Plan and manage development timelines, ensuring milestones are met with high-quality outcomes.
Establish scalable architecture that supports product growth and system stability.
Integrate AI/ML features to enhance user experience and optimize performance.
Contribute to the company’s long-term technical strategy and roadmap.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2–5 years of professional experience in software development.
Proven experience leading or mentoring an engineering team.
Solid track record in building scalable, maintainable, and high-performing applications.
Familiar with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
Required technical skills:
- JavaScript or TypeScript (strong proficiency)
- Docker (good understanding of containerization and orchestration)
- Cloudflare (in-depth knowledge of Workers, CDN, DNS, Load Balancing, and Security)
- Good understanding of database design, optimization, and version control (Git).
- Strong system architecture, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical discussions.
- Open to feedback, collaborative, and proactive in finding solutions.
- Passionate about continuous learning and adopting new technologies.
- Able to balance innovation with practical and timely delivery.
