About the role
The Content Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and executing an integrated content marketing strategy that supports brand awareness, audience growth, and lead generation objectives across all digital channels. This role bridges strategy and execution: owning the editorial calendar, directing the content team (Content Creators, Copywriters, Designers), and ensuring every piece of content is purposeful, on-brand, and measurable. The ideal candidate is analytically minded, creatively driven, and experienced in content-led growth in the education or digital industry.
What you'll do
Content Strategy & Planning
Develop monthly and quarterly content marketing plans aligned with business objectives and campaign roadmaps.
Own and manage the editorial calendar across all digital channels (social media, blog, email, YouTube).
Define content pillars, messaging frameworks, and audience personas for each business unit.
Content Production & Oversight
Produce and oversee content across social media platforms, ensuring output aligns with brand voice, quality standards, and strategic intent.
Brief, direct, and review content produced by Content Creators, Copywriters, and Designers.
Coordinate with the Campaign Strategist to align content output with active campaign timelines.
SEO & Content Optimisation
Collaborate with the SEO & SEM Officer to integrate keyword strategy into blog and website content.
Optimise existing content for organic search visibility and audience retention.
Apply best practices for on-page SEO (meta descriptions, headings, internal linking) on all written content.
Email & Nurture Marketing
Plan and produce email marketing campaigns (newsletters, nurture sequences, promotional blasts).
Segment audience lists and personalise content based on lifecycle stage.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
Monitor content performance KPIs: organic reach, engagement rate, website traffic, email open rate, lead attribution.
Produce weekly and monthly content performance reports with actionable recommendations.
Conduct A/B testing on content formats, headlines, and CTAs; apply learnings to future content.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Sales, and Academic teams to produce thought leadership and educational content.
Align content strategy with PR and influencer activities managed by the Campaign Strategist.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or a related role; fresh graduates are welcome with a strong portfolio (personal projects, freelance, or organisational experience accepted).
Proven track record of building and executing a content calendar across multiple channels.
Solid understanding of SEO principles and content optimisation.
Interest in email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, HubSpot) is a plus.
Basic familiarity with WordPress or social media scheduling tools is a plus.
Comfortable reading basic performance data; experience with Google Analytics or Meta Business Suite is a bonus.
Experience in the education, EdTech, or B2C digital industry is preferred.
What You Will Bring
Creative mindset with analytical discipline — able to balance storytelling with performance data.
Strong project management and prioritisation skills with attention to editorial detail.
Excellent written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is a strong advantage.
Collaborative and able to coordinate effectively across content creators, designers, and campaign teams.
Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership over the content calendar and publishing schedule.
